I have established foreign registration points for those of you with
any major bank card, or if it is easier for you to pay in your local
currency. Over here (on 1:372/666) I can accept Carte Blanche, Diners
Club, VISA, MasterCard (called EuroCard or Access in some places),
American eXpress, and Optima credit or debit cards - see below.
In Europe, Rudi Kusters can take VISA/MasterCard/EuroCard/Access -
maybe others - please contact him for details.
If you have any of the above major bank cards, you can receive a
registration key within a very few days by completing the script
online at either of these locations:
Rudi Kusters (The Netherlands) at 2:512/1 with help from Peter
Janssens (you can register in Dutch currency there - currently
60 guilders, I believe, but subject to change as the dollar
fluctuates), or send to Rudi's "Post Giro" account or post
funds to him. Rudi generates keys and other European sources
contact him for them as well. The online questionnaire at
2:512/1 has further details. (Currently 60 DFl for XRS only
or 80 DFl for both XRS & Rudi's XCS programs together.) You
may also register there online by credit card with the key
being sent immediately from that location rather than waiting
for it to be transported to me in the USA, validated and back!
Stephen Cole (England) at 2:252/16 (via Rudi Kusters)
Klaus Michael Ruebsam (Germany) at 2:247/816 (via Rudi Kusters)
Robban Maliszewski (Sweden) at 2:201/254 (via Rudi Kusters)
or
Khuanchai Chooboonraj (Australia) at 3:634/383. He accepts 45$AU -
again, this is subject to change as the US$ fluctuates, but
current as of this writing (15-June-1991) Khuanchai is also
on SIGnet - node 28:4100/24.
Note that any messages with your credit card number in it is either
processed in Europe (at Rudi's registration site on Peter Janssens'
"Easyboard" in Venray, The Netherlands) or Khuanchai accepts payment
in AU$ and I charge *his* credit card directly, so there is no worry
about a security breach. Australian registrations are sent to me and
I return the key via netmail the same day - usually turn-around will
be no more than one week! European registration keys are distributed
directly by Rudi, and do not require any communication with me at all
since I charge his bankcard monthly for the total fees he collects.
There will likely be other sites which accept online registrations
in the near future.
You may also register directly on my system at 1:372/666 (HST/14400 v.42bis)
803/556-7485 - there is an online registration by bankcard there, and I will
either post the registration within 48 hours or send it by netmail back to
your "home" BBS, or as a last resort, you can register by "snail mail" the
regular way, although this will certainly take more time!
